Quad Cities (May 15, 2024) – More than 300 people attended the ninth annual Market Report Event hosted by NAI Ruhl Commercial Company on May 15, 2024, at the Rhythm City Casino in Davenport, Iowa.

About the Panelists

Ken Chester Jr. is a prominent figure in the automotive and technology industry. He is currently the CEO of TechMobility Productions Inc., a company that focuses on mobility and technology news. Ken also hosts TechMobility programs as well as weekly TechMobility Podcasts that cover a wide range of topics from electric cars and autonomous big rigs to personal privacy and security issues. Ken's career spans nearly three decades, during which he has established himself as a nationally syndicated automotive journalist. In addition to his role at TechMobility Productions, Ken has founded two black-owned consumer-centric firms. The first is The AutoBuyer Plus Corporation, a vehicle purchase consulting firm. The second is the Motor News Media Corporation, a nationally syndicated automotive news and photography service. Ken is also a founding member of the Black Automotive Media Group.

Dan Huber has been a co-owner of Frontier Hospitality Group since 2007, CEO since 2014. After a successful career running chambers of commerce and economic development organizations, Dan joined forces with Bart Baker to marshal the Frontier’s 74 years of hospitality business “know-how” into a dynamic development company. Dan was first named CEO of a chamber of commerce at age 25 and became CEO of Iowa’s third largest chamber of commerce at 29. He has been recognized as a community leader and difference maker in the Quad Cities since 1999. Dan often remarks on the difference between a hotel run by mere developers and those run by true hoteliers. 

Bob Larsen is the CFO of Von Maur. Von Maur is one of the largest privately-owned department stores in the U.S. with over 37 Von Maur locations and 82 Dry Goods stores. In addition, the Company has seen a significant growth in its E-Commerce business. Bob has more than 40 years of financial accounting experience, starting with McGladrey and Pullen out of college in 1982. Bob was appointed partner by McGladrey in 1991 and left in 2008 for his current position.

Chris Beason serves as the president of both NAI Ruhl Commercial Company and Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors, representing the fifth generation to lead the family business that dates back to 1862. He embodies the firm's core values of Quality, Integrity, and Service, ensuring that these principles guide every aspect of the business. After graduating from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Real Estate and Finance, Chris refined his professional skills working at the Norton Agency in Georgia and The Group, Inc in Colorado before returning to the Quad Cities.
