QUAD CITIES (August 1, 2024) – The new Spencer Creek Lift Station the City of Bettendorf, Iowa, is planning to build began with a commercial real estate land transaction. The sale of the Blunk family farm property that took place earlier this year, closed by NAI Ruhl Commercial Company, is now the site of the new sewer project.
Tom Dalton, NAI Ruhl Commercial Sales Associate, completed the sale in March 2024 of the approximately 110-acre property after working on completing the transaction for more than a year.
The sale of the Blunk farm property at Forest Grove Road and Wells Ferry signaled the northeastern growth of Bettendorf’s city limits across Interstate 80. In October 2023, Pleasant Valley approved the purchase of almost 16 acres at that site for a future school.
“This transaction was significant for the growth of Bettendorf and the Quad Cities region as a whole”, said John G. Ruhl, Managing Director, NAI Ruhl Commercial Company. “The demand for transitional land in our region remains strong. Our Brokers have many clients with an appetite to follow Bettendorf’s growth for their potential projects.”
