Welcome to the ‘centre’ of Downtown Moline,
Illinois, where everything is waiting for
you. Places such as the
John Deere Commons
and the
i Wireless Center attract
hundreds of visitors each year and are
increasingly seeing more and more
international visitors. Downtown Moline is a
popular spot for visitors because of the
computer stores, gift and specialty shops,
antiques, upscale clothing and variety of
casual to fine dining restaurants and night
spots. The
Quad City Marathon
and
Race for the Cure
are a couple major events hosted
by the City of Moline.
The Moline Centre Partners Façade Improvement
Matching Grant Program is continuously
encouraging the preservation and
rehabilitation of historically significant
structures within downtown Moline. The
Plaza at Bass Street Landing (phase one of
three) is the latest new development at the
bottom of 17th Street along the riverfront.
The City of Moline is also working on
Streetscape, to create a more
pedestrian-friendly atmosphere. Residents
can also enjoy a river walk and river front
trail which continues east to Bass Street
Landing, the newest addition to the downtown
development. |
